Here’s the upside down world seen in the water reflection as we (read: Hubby) washed our deck floor today. The spring cleaning continues…

In a windless morning like today the lake was really like a giant mirror. It reflected everything in front of it (or was it on top?) in perfect symmetry. I love water reflection image (maybe) largely because I love symmetrical things. My eyes were drawn to everything symmetrical around the lake today and boy, they were everywhere. Here are the two of many images I captured this glorious morning.
It was a beautiful day today. No wind and almost no ripples on the water. I would’ve liked more clouds in the sky, but this clear blue sky worked as well. This picture was taken from the area behind Yarralumla Nursery. The water reflection was almost the exact mirror image of the scene above it. Oh how I love the color of winter in Canberra.
Locals always play tourist when visitors around and I was no different. We enjoyed a sunny winter day at the Cockington Green Gardens today. The beautifully landscaped gardens display miniature building sets that offer an interesting view and a nice place to enjoy relaxing walk outdoor. My kids always love coming here, they love the electric train, the play ground with the nice picnic area and the (very short) ‘real’ train rides.
The above photo was taken from Israel exhibit from the International area. Maybe I just had a bad memory, but I didn’t remember ever seen this exhibit before, I thought it was pretty neat.
And this one is from Turkey exhibit. I think. I was drawn to the water reflection I forgot to check the info plate.
There was one empty pool that was not used at my kids’ swimming school this afternoon. It attracted me so, as I was waiting for the swimming lessons to finish. The water was smooth and reflected everything from the surrounding surface areas. There were lines, symmetry, lights and did I mention the reflection in the water?
I had fun playing with this image on my iPhone. I love the drama that the lighting brings. This was a fun shot.
