Day 298 #Project365

298-365 sunset lil vase

Say good-bye to today’s sun.
This was the last capture of the day. The beautiful golden light that shone through the front window just too pretty to miss.

Day 297 #Project365

297-365 lil flowers

These were all the little flowers that my baby gal picked for me today.
Sweet little flowers.
Sweet little girl …

Day 289 #Project365

289-365 holey

These shoes were new. Only a week old.

Someone has been playing way, way too hard while wearing these shoes, as shown by the huge gaping hole. Ms 4 was at a super hero party wearing spiderman costume when she wrecked them. Either fighting crime was too hard work, or we, her parents, need to buy better quality (pricier?) shoes next time.

Day 282 #Project365

282-365 ripped jeans

Saying goodbye is always hard. This time I had to say goodbye to an ‘old friend’. This old jeans of mine and I have gone way back. We were perfect for each other, we were together almost every day. It was like a match made in heaven. (We all know how hard it is to find the perfect pair of jeans.)

Then I started noticed a rip, but I didn’t care. The rip was ‘expected’, you see, it was a ‘controlled’, pre-destressed from the manufacturer kinda rip. So it was fine. Totally gave this pair a bit of character.

Then the rip got larger, then they were more and they were everywhere through the usual tear&wear along the years. Cut the story short, the long pants became a ripped bermuda, and we were still cruising along together through many summers. Oh, they happy days.

This year’s spring clean forced me to have a close look on all my clothes, and I noticed more rips and tears on my favourite pair than I could care to admit. The time has come to say goodbye to this old friend. I’m gonna miss ya old pants…

Day 264 #Project365

264-365 empty

This is a vision of a promise. A promise of something sweet to come. Literally, of course, and figuratively speaking. Cupcakes brings out the meaning of fun. It might be sugar-powered fun, but fun nonetheless.

My daughter got so excited just from distributing these colourful paper cups on the tray. What flavour will it be? How about the topping, what’s the colour? Can I help decorate? Oh, the anticipation…

We have to wait a bit  longer to see the end result of these babies. Hopefully I remember to stop and capture them all ‘dressed-up’. Watch this space…
