Portrait Project – 52/52

52

My final post of this year’s 52 Portrait project is here. A day late, but that’s okay. I’m sure you’d understand one’s need to sleep after staying up longer, having too much fun with friends and family, who gathered together in the last hours of 2014.

Allow me to share some of the things I feel grateful for in the year 2014 (don’t worry, I have a lot of things I am grateful for, but I am only sharing the short version here):

  • I am grateful that I am surrounded by lovely friends and family who helped me to navigate my ways through 2014. A small number of these individuals are captured above, the rest I didn’t get to capture in the midst of the new year’s celebration last night
  • I am grateful and glad that I successfully completed 2014’s personal photography project, despite hiccups here and there. There was so much to learn
  • I am grateful for people who have put up with me and allowed me to practice my skills in portrait photography on them
  • I am grateful for those who trusted me to be involved in their project and paid good money for my services (yes you, my clients of 2014!).

I still don’t know what my next project of 2015 will be. But be sure, there will be something. As a part of my resolution, I will commit myself to hold myself accountable for my own growth. No more BS, no more excuses. I have a good feeling about this new year.  I’m sure it’s going to be challenging like any other years, but I think it will be exciting. I am allowing myself to be optimistic. Try it!

I wish you all a glorious year ahead. Happy New Year 2015.

Day 266 #Project365

266-365 baby shower

Drawing on a baby singlet was definitely harder than drawing on a normal flat paper. Especially when you were not a good drawer in the first place. Like myself. That one with the three balloons was my creation. Luckily the singlet is for 0-3 months, the baby won’t be able to see what he’s wearing…

We have to come to the 266th day of 2012. Only 100 days to go until the year ends. ONE HUNDRED DAYS. Where has the time gone?

Day 232 #Project365

232-365 lebaran.jpg

Today was about food, family, food, relatives, food, friends, oh and some more food for most Indonesians. It does not matter what your religion is, nor where you live in the world, most of us, one way or the other,  is gonna be ‘touched’ by the Muslim’s celebration of Eid Mubarak (Hari Raya Idul Fitri/ Eid Al-Fitri) and will enjoy the day meeting up with everybody and catch up while surrounded by all the yummy food. Some would regret having eaten so much, but hey, that’s Lebaran for you!

So, on the two hundred thirty second day of the year, I’d like to wish Happy Eid Mubarak to my friends and family and to all of you readers who celebrate this special day.

PS: Thank you B & A for a wonderful feast today! x
