In a windless morning like today the lake was really like a giant mirror. It reflected everything in front of it (or was it on top?) in perfect symmetry. I love water reflection image (maybe) largely because I love symmetrical things. My eyes were drawn to everything symmetrical around the lake today and boy, they were everywhere. It’s a wall of branches separating the bright and the dark side. All the front side of the tree was touched by the setting sun, getting all the warmth, while it’s completely black on the other side. Light and shadows outlined the shape of the tree really well. This light showcased how spectacular my lilac tree rocking the winter look. I love it.
It’s a good halfway through winter now and I haven’t taken any tree pictures for quite some time. Not sure how did that happen, but I sure missed it. These leafless branches creating a beautiful intricate lace before the bright blue sky was my eyecandy for the day.
