This photo came from the pile when I was trying, let’s stress the word again, TRYING to learn the technique panning (here is where I got the idea). Clearly it didn’t work. The idea was to get the object relatively in focus with some motion blur. I thought I’d give it a try when my kids were having fun on the swing. In theory, this should’ve worked, but as the online tutorial said, a lot of practice is needed to get just the right shot.

After getting quite dizzy after a lot of attempt, and got only blurry object on blurry background shots, I gave up and just take a normal fast shutter speed shot to freeze the swinging action when my girls was up high having a blast. Panning just has to wait for another time.
